Fallen (2006) on AXN Beyond

An ABC Family mini-series, Fallen shown on AXN Beyond, it’s a story of fallen angels, nephilims and warrior angels. The episode starts with Aaron Corbett (Paul Wesley) as he narrates about Lucifer led the angels in rebellion against God and these angels banished from Heaven and forced to live on Earth, which they are known as the Fallen. The Fallen later on mated with mortal women, thus having an offspring called the Nephilim which is half angel, half mortal. The Warrior Angels or also known as the Powers, made it their mission to hunt the Nephilim’s because they are abomination. But there is a prophecy that a Nephilim will come and redeem the Fallen to return them to Heaven. The protagonist of the story is Aaron Corbett and his mission is to redeem the Fallen and send them back to Heaven. The Powers, an army of angels, are coming to destroy him. He will have to come in terms of who he is and accept the truth as inexplicable things keep happening around him, his abilities increase and strange people start following him. Itazura Na Kiss/ ISWAK/ They Kiss Again

I finally finished watching ITAZURA NA KISS in crunchyroll.com yesterday, i slept late around 6 in the morning but I was satisfied with it.  The anime came from the popular, unfinished manga series by mangaka Kaoru Tada.  The manga was never completed due to the unexpected death of the author in a house accident while she was moving to another house with her husband and son.  There are 23 volumes of the manga and there was no ending, the author passed away at the age of 38 from a brain aneurysm.  The author’s husband, Shigeru Nishikawa, revealed that the anime adaptation and the intended finale of the manga will be the first time to be conceptualized in the anime.  It was also made into a TV Drama Series in Taiwan and was named IT STARTED WITH A KISS which stars Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng.  It was a huge success and it was followed by a season 2, THEY KISS AGAIN.

THE PLOT

It tells a love story of Kotoko Aihara and Naoki Irie during their high school days to their marriage.   The story starts with Kotoko confessing her feelings to Naoki by giving him a love letter but Naoki rejected her in front of everybody.  She suffered a great humiliation and decided to give up her love for Naoki.  On that same day, she went home and her friends came over to celebrate her new home.  Later it was destroyed by a mild earthquake due to poor construction.  A friend of her father offered them to stay in their house and when Kotoko arrived in the household of her father’s friend.  She found out that Naoki Irie was the son of her father’s friend.  While staying in the Irie household, she and Naoki experience the development of their relationship.

MY SAY

I saw the Taiwan TV Drama Series last 2006, i find it frustrating to watch, the girl was so in love with the guy and the guy doesn’t even acknowledge her… grrr… but in the end it turned out fine. Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng played the part well, i give them two thumbs up.  It has some sweet and comedic moments, my rate for the Taiwan TV Drama was good.  The soundtrack was great and I even have it on my iPod.  I prefer the Anime Series it was great and more fun to watch, i just can’t stop laughing.
